Parties
I favor Obama over McCain the same way that I favor being shot in the abdomen over being shot in the chest.
McCain needs to lose in order for the Republican party to dissolve in the same way that the Democratic-Republicans dissolved after 1824.
By 1824, the Dem-Reps had absorbed the members of the Federalist Party--the same way that the Republican Party has absorbed neo-cons. Meaning, that running against each other and from the same party were John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson (think Abraham Lincoln v. Jefferson Davis). Thanks to the scheming of Henry Clay, Adams stole the presidency and the true Dem-Reps bolted from the party.
What happened next was a re-organization of the party system. I hope history repeats itself. That would be wonderful.

Ron Paul Slams Republican Warmongers
Look at John McCain during this perfectly rational argument. His look reeks of arrogantly smug or the kind of look typical of severely retarded people.
Dr. Paul has it right. If we never should have been there in the first place, then we sure as Hell better not be there for another hundred years(as McCain argues).

Random Rant For the Heck of It
I haven't been posting much lately, and for that I am sorry. I've just been dragged down by a general mid-winter malaise.
It has zapped my humor. It has belabored my insight. It has even muffled my outrage.
If it doesn't pass soon, I'll feel obligated to post anything, just to have something posted.
Good God, save us from that.
Seriously, you don't want me ranting on and on at how stupid it is when people call tuna "tunafish."
Is there any other kind of tuna?
And these clowns aren't even consistent. If it's tunafish, then shouldn't we also have hamburger cow, or shrimp crustacean, or chicken chicken, or hampig, etc.
Even if they want to say that it's a fish thing, they're still inconsistent. They don't talk about eating troutfish, salmonfish, or perchfish.
For the love of Godyahweh. If it looks like a duckfowl and quacks like a duckfowl, then you're a morondemocrat.
See what I mean? I really need to get out of this funk.

Idiotic Question
Often I hear quasi-intelligent people ask, "Why support Ron Paul? He has no chance of winning."
As if the likelihood of wars in the future was a reason for not supporting peace. As if the existence of injustice was grounds for dismissing justice. As if because the majority of the people are idiots, then I cannot be smart. As if just because I am overweight now, then I should not try to shed a few (dozen) pounds.
I'd rather lose with the good than win with the bad. Go ahead, ye supporters of Xerxes. I will fight with Leonidas. Call me a fool, but I stand between you and more war, more taxes, more regulation, and slavery--that's right, I said slavery.

Super Bowl Thoughts
I dislike the New England Patriots. They are arrogant, and they are led by a cheater. Bandwagon fans retort that what the Patriots got caught doing is what everyone does.
Really, then why haven't they been caught as well?
Besides, not everyone else is gearing up to proclaim themselves the greatest team in NFL history.
Hell, the Texans could have won the Alamo if every man had carried an M-16 and enough ammunition.
Still, that would have been fair because that is war. However, in sports there's something called sportsmanship, which the Patriots do not have.
Go New York. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Israel: a Paradox
About the only thing worse than the way that Israel acts is the way that others act against Israel.
I detest those who suggest that I must pick a side. I decline to do so. If a pile of crap and a Democrat or Neo-Con were running against each other for President, then I would vote for neither.
I am not a terrorist if I suggest that Israel behaves badly, nor am I an anti-Semite. If only Israel had a bit more respect for the rights of non-Israelis, then I would probably sympathize with Israel.

An Irksome Rant
It's easy to blame the media for promoting the status quo, but it's hard to blame to people for listening and obeying like good little sheep.
However, I like a challenge.
The media is somewhat to blame, but the media is in the hands of persons with certain political viewpoints (seriously, you don't really believe in an objective media, do you?). I cannot really blame them for promoting their point of view.
The bulk of the blame goes to the everyday American dimwit who does not think beyond what he reads in the papers or sees on TV. Jeff Foxworthy is not a comedian; he's a prophet.
I am not an Alexander Hamilton fan, but he was definitely right to fear the common man with a vote. Once people realized that they could use the power of the ballot to acquire what they never themselves earned, this Republic set foot on the short road to tyranny.
But democracy is good, you say? Well then why don't all white people (still the majority of the United States) vote that 15% of all earnings made by non-whites go to whites?
Suppose they did? It would be Democracy, wouldn't it?
Hell yes it would! Which means that Democracy is not synonymous with Justice.
Winston Churchill said something like Democracy was the worst form of government, except for all the others.
But Mr. Churchill was not prepared to accept the concept of a government strictly limited to protecting its citizens' rights. So his adage is not useful.
Think about it. Democracy relies upon the will of the majority.
Never in the history of man has the majority been made up of the wise and the virtuous.
Therefore, Democracies are governed by the unwise and the unvirtuous.
The good news is that in four billion years the Sun will consume the Earth, and the United States will once and for all be free of the socialistic-fascist Demagogues that we call Democrats and Republicans.
I'll admit that not even Ron Paul can save the Earth from its inevitable doom, but, damn it, he could have helped make the next few billion years a hell of a lot more livable.

There is an intentional omission, by the media, of Ron Paul.
Go to the New York Times and see how Ron Paul (2md Place) did in Nevada and every other state. He has consistently beaten Rudy Giuliani and Fred Thompson, but Dr./Representative Paul does not show up on the NYTimes scale--but Mr. Giuliani and Fred Thompson do.
